If the cerebral cortex is considered the seat of conscious thoughts and higher cognitive functions, then the cerebellum is the substrate of our subconscious thoughts. However, until recently, the cerebellum was hypothesized to contribute solely to motor and vestibular functions, with its possible functions in cognition and language largely understudied.

This project seeks to bridge this knowledge gap by investigating the functional overlap between language and motor functions.
